Janie Liu Rhymes with Poo is a science fiction adventure saga inspired by true events that happened in the Chinese Immigrant church community, for a generation, in North America.  First I served as a church-school classroom teacher. Then I became a whistle-blower against sex abuse.

I'm Alma Cheng. This is my pen name when I draw from my true, personal experiences as an Adult Survivor of Child Sex Abuse. That adjective is not the only description of who I am.

Just like the readers of the graphic novel series, Janie Liu Rhymes with Poo, I am a youth advocate, teacher, artist and so much more. Thank you for bringing these graphic novels into the conversation in classrooms, in religious organizations and in entertainment media about a child's right to be safe in their body.
